What Is Mindfulness
The programs at Innerspace Counseling use Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which helps you learn the skills you need to effectively manage your mental health. One of the main skills you learn through this type of therapy is mindfulness. Mindfulness is defined as being the ability to be fully present in any given situation. Once you have mastered mindfulness, you should be able to stay focused and aware of where you are and what you’re doing without feeling overwhelmed by anything happening around you.
