CREATIVE THERAPIES

Creative expression can open new ways to connect, communicate, and heal.

Creative therapies use art, music, and movement to support emotional expression, self-awareness, regulation, and meaningful growth within a therapeutic setting.

WHAT ARE CREATIVE THERAPIES?

A therapeutic approach that uses creativity beyond words.

Creative therapies use art, music, dance, and movement as therapeutic tools within a structured clinical setting.

Creative arts therapy sessions incorporate visual art, music, rhythm, songwriting, lyric analysis, movement, and other creative experiences. It allows you to use your passions in a therapeutic manner.

These approaches can offer another way to explore emotions, build awareness, practice coping skills, and connect with experiences that may be difficult to express through conversation alone.

CREATIVE THERAPIES AT INNERSPACE

Creative clinical support within a broader IOP or PHP plan.

Creative therapies may be incorporated alongside individual therapy, group therapy, family sessions, psychiatric care, medication management, and evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP.

When included in a client’s treatment plan, art, music, and movement-based interventions are selected intentionally to support individualized clinical goals.

Creative therapies are not simply recreational activities. Each intervention is selected with a therapeutic purpose and integrated into the client’s broader treatment plan.

From Our Clinical Team

Movement allows clients to use their body to express and explore emotions using the mind-body connection. When we are mindful of our bodies we can connect, regulate, and release emotions that feel trapped inside. When you don't have the words, movement is another way to feel and heal.
