GROUP THERAPY

Learn, practice, and grow alongside people who understand.

Professionally led group therapy gives clients a structured place to build skills, share perspectives, practice healthier responses, and feel less alone.

HOW WE TREAT

More Than A Support Group

Clinical treatment guided by a trained mental health professional.

Group therapy brings clients together around shared treatment goals while a licensed clinician guides discussion, teaches evidence-based skills, and helps maintain a safe and productive environment.

Within Innerspace’s IOP and PHP programs, groups are a core part of treatment and give clients repeated opportunities to learn, practice, reflect, and receive constructive support.

Why Group Therapy Helps

Connection can become part of the healing process.

01

Reduce Isolation

Hear from others with similar concerns and recognize that difficult experiences do not have to be faced alone.

02

Learn From Different Perspectives

Gain insight from how other people understand, approach, and work through challenges.

03

Practice In Real Time

Use communication, coping, emotional regulation, and relationship skills within a supported setting.

What Groups May Focus On

Group topics vary by program, age group, track, and clinical need. Youth and adult populations are kept separate.

Emotional Regulation

Recognize emotions, understand triggers, and practice more intentional responses.

Coping & Distress Tolerance

Build practical strategies for difficult moments, stress, urges, and emotional overwhelm.

Communication & Relationships

Practice boundaries, assertiveness, listening, problem-solving, and conflict management.

Mindfulness & Self-Awareness

Notice thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and patterns with greater clarity.

Group Therapy At Innerspace

A central part of coordinated
IOP and PHP care.

Groups at Innerspace are led by mental health professionals and integrated with each client’s broader treatment plan.

Group therapy may be coordinated with individual counseling, family sessions, psychiatric care, medication management, and evidence-based approaches such as DBT, CBT, ACT, and ERP.

Clients decide what they are ready to share. Participation can also mean listening, practicing skills, reflecting, and gradually becoming more comfortable in the group.
