These include popular beachfront destinations such as Seaside Heights, Long Beach Island, and Point Pleasant Beach, alongside the renowned Six Flags Great Adventure, home to Kingda Ka, the world's tallest and second-fastest roller coaster. Additionally, Ocean County serves as a gateway to the Pine Barrens, a significant expanse of protected land on the East Coast.
In terms of mental health, Ocean County has recognized the need for increased mental health services and support, particularly in response to the stresses and challenges faced by its growing, diverse population.
