Innerspace Counseling Celebrates Recognition, Outcomes and Continued Growth

Innerspace Counseling is proud to share an exciting milestone in our continued growth as a provider of specialized mental health Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program (IOP/PHP) services in New Jersey.
This week, Innerspace Counseling was featured through PR Newswire in an announcement highlighting our specialized programs, clinical outcomes, community partnerships and two recent recognitions: Best Intensive Mental Health Program Specialist 2026 – New Jersey through the GHP Mental Health Awards and Best Mental Health Service in Old Bridge 2026 through Business Rate, powered by Google Reviews.
While we are grateful for the recognition, what matters most to us is what it represents: the work happening every day between our clients, families and treatment teams.
Specialized Mental Health Treatment Because Care Shouldn't Be One-Size-Fits-All
Innerspace Counseling was built around the belief that individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges deserve access to treatment that addresses their specific needs.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program provide a higher level of mental health support for children, adolescents and adults who may need more structure and clinical intervention than traditional weekly outpatient therapy can provide.
Our specialized programming includes:
General Mental Health, with DBT-informed treatment for concerns including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, grief, self-harm, trauma, and other significant mental health challenges.
OCD & Anxiety, incorporating Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for OCD and anxiety-related conditions, including school avoidance, emetophobia, panic, social anxiety and agoraphobia.
Perinatal Wellness, providing specialized support during pregnancy and through the postpartum period for individuals experiencing perinatal mental health challenges.
Depending on each client's individualized treatment plan, care may incorporate evidence-based and specialized approaches including DBT, CBT, ERP, ACT, trauma-informed care and Brainspotting, along with individual, group and family therapy and medication management.
Measuring More Than Participation
Providing access to care is important. Understanding whether that care is helping is equally important.
Innerspace routinely evaluates clinical outcomes and program engagement to better understand the experiences and progress of the people we serve.
From January through June 2026, our PHQ-9 depression screening outcome data found that 81% of clients demonstrated improvement in depressive symptoms.
Among clients who entered treatment with symptoms in the moderate-to-severe range, 85% demonstrated improvement, and 50% completed treatment with scores in the mild-to-minimal range.
During Q2 2026, clients across Innerspace programs also maintained an average 95% attendance rate.
For an IOP/PHP level of care focused on helping individuals stabilize, develop skills and successfully transition to a less intensive level of support, these outcomes are an important part of evaluating the work we do.
Behind every percentage, however, is a person.
A child returning to school. A parent beginning to feel like themselves again. Someone learning how to respond differently to an intrusive thought. A family beginning to understand one another. A person developing skills that can help them navigate life beyond treatment.
Those are the outcomes that ultimately matter most.
Care Built Around Collaboration
Mental healthcare does not happen in isolation.
Today, more than 650 healthcare providers and community professionals throughout the region refer to and collaborate with Innerspace Counseling.
Those relationships help create continuity between outpatient therapists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, schools, hospitals, community organizations and higher levels of mental healthcare.
We are incredibly grateful to the professionals who trust us when someone they serve needs additional support and to the clients and families who trust us during some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
And We're Still Growing
These recognitions arrive during an exciting period for Innerspace Counseling.
As the need for accessible, specialized mental healthcare continues, we remain focused on expanding access while preserving the individualized, evidence-based approach that has shaped our programs.
Growth means reaching more families, strengthening specialized programming, developing new community partnerships and continuing to evaluate our services through meaningful outcome measurement.
Most importantly, it means continuing to ask the question that has guided Innerspace from the beginning:
What does this person need to move toward a life they believe is worth living?
A Recognition That Belongs to Our Entire Community
Awards and recognition may carry the Innerspace Counseling name, but they represent the work of an entire community.
They belong to our therapists and group clinicians who show up every day for their clients.
They belong to our prescribers, case managers and administrative team members who make treatment possible.
They belong to the providers, schools and community partners who collaborate with us.
And they belong to every client and family who has trusted Innerspace to be part of their story.
Thank you for helping us continue to grow, improve and expand access to specialized mental healthcare in New Jersey.
